| Bill Whitacre, Chairman |
In 1952, Bill began his career in the food service industry by working part-time in his father’s vending business in Louisville, Kentucky. He next worked for Servomation Corporation, the predecessor to Service America, from 1964-1985, where he was responsible for dining services and vending districts of North Carolina, South Carolina, Southern Virginia, and Southern Georgia.
Reaching the role of Area Vice President, Bill decided to set off on his own. In 1985, Bill created Food Express with a goal of delivering fresh foods through vending and dining facilities in corporations throughout the Southeast. |

Following in his father’s footsteps, Jeff got an early start in the food service industry, learning every aspect of his father’s business from the ground up. He rolled up his sleeves and worked every role within the company, not only learning what is involved, but how all of the different processes ultimately fit together to create an outstanding product.
Fast-forward twenty years: Jeff now provides the energetic direction for Food Express, as well as leading innovation as the company expands its service reach and offerings. |

Marty’s tenure at Food Express started with managing the corporate office as vice president of administration. He later moved into the role of Chief Financial Officer, ensuring that our financial position is strong and positioned for growth. We knew we made the right addition to the management team with Marty when he joined us 10 years ago—long before he was nominated CFO of the Year (The Business Journal, 2012). |

Some of the industry-leading technology he has implemented at Food Express includes cashless vending machine payment options, along with wireless and remote monitoring, enabling Food Express clients to always have the very freshest, most popular foods available in vending machines. |

Barton started his professional career when his father, Charles, bought a coffee roasting company in 1977. He describes his father as a great role model and learned many things about business and life as they built the family company together. Like many entrepeneurs, he learned first-hand every facet of the operation and management. Over the years they expanded to include Coffee Service and Vending and in 2012 added Food Service when they joined Food Express. Barton is proud to be a part of this dynamic team. |

Carmen is a Registered and Certified Dietitian with The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics as well as a MS in Nutrition Candidate at the University of Saint Joseph in Connecticut. Carmen has extensive experience in food service, community and clinical diet therapy while specializing in the vending and commissary industry. | Charles Bartlett has 25 years of experience in dining service, starting at a young age in the family restaurant and then graduating from Le Cordon Bleu. Charles has worked in almost every setting in the foodservice industry, most recently he was the Executive Chef and Manager of Food Operations for a large manufacturing company overseeing multiple units within the foodservice department across the US. The experience that he has received in his career and attention to detail will be an asset to the dining service that Food Express provides. |
